FIPTOR 80 is a combination of Fipronil 40% and Imidacloprid 40% in a nondusty Water Dispersible Granule (WDG) formulation. When mixed with water in a spray tank, FIPTOR 80 quickly disperses or dissolves to form a fine particle suspension. It falls within the Phenylpyrazole and Neonicotinoid group of insecticides, offering a unique combination with dual action (systemic and contact).Fipronil disrupts nerve impulse transmission by blocking Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA)gated chloride channels in the central nervous system. This action prevents the uptake of chloride ions, resulting in excessive stimulation of neurons. This overstimulation causes severe paralysis and ultimately leads to the death of the insect.Imidacloprid functions as an antagonist of Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) at neuronal and neuromuscular junctions in the insect's central nervous system. It disrupts the proper transmission of signals, leading to nerve cell excitation, severe paralysis, and ultimately, the death of the treated insect.
This product effectively controls all species of white grubs and other soil pests, providing extended persistence and high solubility in water. FIPTOR 80 also promotes root growth and enhances plant vigor, resulting in greener foliage and increased yields.
