Growflex Super is a ready-to-use blend of two active ingredients, Profenofos and Cypermethrin, a pyrethroid. This insecticide is effective against various chewing and sucking insect pests. It's technical name is Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC. It possesses strong contact, stomach, and ovicidal actions. With excellent translaminar activity, it penetrates from the upper leaf surface to the lower surface upon spraying. It is quickly absorbed by plant cells, making it resistant to being washed away by rainfall. This organophosphorus and synthetic insecticide operates by strongly inhibiting the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. After ingesting or coming into contact with a treated plant or leaf, the pest becomes paralyzed and then quickly dies.
